Origins in innovation
John Deere was an enterprising blacksmith in Vermont, USA. In the 1830s, he moved to Illinois, where he encountered farmers struggling to till the heavy, muddy prairie soil with traditional cast-iron ploughs. Deere quickly realised that a new tool was needed - and made a polished-steel plough that could cut through the soil without getting stuck.

From ploughs to tractors
Deere's plough quickly became popular, and in 1837 he founded Deere & Company. During the 20th century, the company expanded its product portfolio to include tractors, combines and other machinery. In 1918, John Deere bought the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company – and launched his first tractor, marking the beginning of a new era.

Are all parts in stock?
We have a large range of John Deere spare parts in stock for fast delivery. On each item you can see the current stock status. If an item is temporarily out of stock, you can often order it anyway – we'll dispatch your order as soon as possible when the item is back in stock.
