PTO shaft
A power take-off (PTO) shaft transfers power from the tractor to an implement such as a mower, sprayer or snow blower. There are several types: standard 540/1000 rpm, two- or three-split for adjustable length, slip-proof with clutch, hydraulic, short for small implements and powerful for heavy machines. The right type protects both tractor and implement.
