Warehouse worker

It's an evening-shift week for Oscar. It's just before a quarter to one when he arrives at work this Tuesday.
− We always start with a short warehouse meeting where we go through the situation and whether there's anything particular to keep in mind for the day. Then I check my own schedule and see where I'm slotted in. We have a rolling schedule, so you alternate between receiving
and unpacking incoming deliveries, driving the forklift and packing orders. I also step in on warehouse support sometimes.

Warehouse support is exactly what it sounds like; a support for the warehouse. Among other things, they take care of all storage locations, check sensitive engine parts, add new items to the system, photograph new products and much, much more.
− I enjoy the variety.

Oscar works evenings every other week and is then responsible for his evening-shift crew, which consists of five permanent staff and often someone extra.
− I start at a quarter to one and finish at a quarter to eleven in the evening. If you've worked an evening-shift week, you always have Friday off. The evening shift itself begins at five in the afternoon.

Oscar is a trained excavator operator by background. He worked in boat storage and was rather fed up with it when he saw an ad that Olsson Parts was looking for warehouse staff.
− I started here in April 2018 and have never regretted it. As a warehouse worker, getting to work with modern warehouse logistics at a company that always tries to stay a step ahead is rewarding, but the best thing about the job is, after all, the sense of community. We have fun together and are a good bunch.
