Salesperson – responsible for Finland

Jani, with a background as a salesperson in the sports industry, had no great experience of either tractors or construction machinery when he was offered a brand-new role at a company in Ellös, but with the option to work out of the office in Stenungsund. After a short period of reflection, he chose to accept.
− I went entirely on gut feeling. The company was about to invest in the Finnish market and was now looking for someone who not only spoke Finnish but was also prepared to take responsibility for the Finnish customers. Now I've worked here since 2017; it's been exciting to be part of building something up from the ground.

Jani enjoys his role as a salesperson, a role that also includes technical support. The phone rings constantly and Jani switches effortlessly between Swedish and Finnish. Being able to talk to customers in the customers' language is of course a big advantage, and the fact that he didn't know the industry at first has been no obstacle:
− You have to be humble and curious. I've learned everything as I've gone along. There's also internal training on offer in everything from operating a tractor to understanding how an engine works. There are development opportunities here for anyone who wants them, and they care about their staff.

Jani's job also includes customer visits and taking part in trade fairs, both as an exhibitor and a visitor.
− Customer contact is fun; that's what I'm passionate about. I like feeling that I contribute to keeping the customer's business running. Make things work, quite simply.
