As a resident of Orust, Amanda knew Olsson Parts well long before she applied there.
– Orust is a small island and a good reputation spreads quickly. I also had friends who worked here and who recommended that I apply.
Building a career within a company can take many different paths. For Amanda, the journey began in the warehouse – a fast-paced job with varied tasks. She received incoming deliveries, packed customer orders and restocked shelves. Over time she also took on responsibility for training and onboarding new warehouse staff.
– I really enjoyed it but missed the customer contact from my previous job. When a vacancy came up in Customer Service, it felt obvious to apply for the position.
The work in customer service is varied and the pace is high.
– We help customers with everything from product questions and complaints to contacting carriers and handling orders. No two days are the same, and we work with every department in the building.
What makes Olsson Parts a good workplace?
– We're like one big family. It might sound clichéd, but everyone really is welcome here. The company is forward-thinking, and when vacancies come up, they often start by looking for opportunities internally.
Amanda thinks that the latter is one of the reasons why many people stay with Olsson Parts for a long time:
– It creates a strong sense of community and deep knowledge both about and within the company, while there are always new opportunities for anyone who wants to develop. I like being part of the Olsson family!
