Annette

HR generalist

Annette started at Olsson Parts as an HR generalist in May 2023. At the time she came most recently from a role as training and HR coordinator at a larger petrochemical company.
− The difference is that here I do several different things, just on a smaller scale. That means I can be involved and have an influence at a closer level. This is a family company with a family atmosphere, a flat organisation and quick decision-making, which I like. I also laugh more here, Annette laughs.

Annette is the business-school graduate who studied project management and topped it up with the basic law course (JÖK) and training in digital communication.
− Otherwise I'm self-taught in the HR field, even though I've worked with it for many years now. I really like my job; seeing people grow is my thing, and I get to see that often here.

Annette's role means, among other things, making sure that things happen correctly and fairly and that labour legislation is followed.
− The difference from my previous jobs is that here the focus is on HOW. It's of course important that legislation and regulations are followed, but you also have to feel good on the way there. Here there's a great understanding of the importance of balancing life, family and work.

Another of Annette's tasks is to arrange and project-manage Olsson Parts' much-appreciated staff events.
− As an HR generalist you have a broad area of responsibility and handle many different aspects of personnel administration and development. It's really varied. One day I'm checking timesheets, supporting department managers with recruitment or planning internal training; the next I'm ordering a hundred Easter treats, googling hotels in Germany and setting the schedule for the Thursday breakfasts.
